Monthly Recap

Greetings again. I’m glad to say that my housing situation is confirmed for the fall semester. Now all I need to do is pack and hop on an airplane. Since my housing is secured near a testing site, I feel much better about the traveling arrangements for the JLPT this year but let this be a reminder to check again later when registration opens. As I’m studying for it, I learned that my vocab retention needs more retention, so I’m continuing to review and study new words as much as I can, mainly using the “Nihongo no Mori” book for new content.

As a piece of new information, I was coordinating a volunteer event with a Japanese tour group, but unfortunately with the Crowdstrike mishap, the event had to be cancelled a week ago. On the bright side, I still got to have a meet-and-greet dinner with the other student volunteers and had a pleasant time reconnecting with my alma mater network.

What’s Next!

Moving to Monterey. I’ve never lived outside of Florida before, so this is an exciting new adventure. I finally get to meet my professors and classmates in person. Being an online/remote student was comfortable, but I want to make the most of this time as a grad student in my final year by physically attending the school I’m enrolled in. Can’t believe I’m a 2nd-year student already. Soon enough, these next 2 semester will fly by and graduation will be approaching. Anyway, hope to have a smooth transition from FL to CA.
